If the item attached gets moved around very much when under weight they will back themselves out of the ceiling leaving you with a giant hole that has to be filled. The problem is, once under weight, the bearings inside don't spin freely and allow the twisting force to transfer to the threads themselves and loosen in the joist until they fall.Would be fine with a hanging plant or something that does not move, but not a hammock swing even if you are significantly under the weight limit.

Stong piece of hardware and it arrived two days after I ordered it. While I just put swing up, it swings quietly and the heavy duty screws look like they will hold any weight.
