Really bad contactor as it was not assembled well. The connector to the left snapped off when attempting to remove the wiring when it was causing a hissing noise

Ac Company wanted to charge 300 bucks to replace this part. I changed it myself and saved myself a lot of money. I now have extra $ to shop for other items I need.

Replaced a faulty contractor on my old Carrier unit. This one looks a little bit different than the old one but wires up the same and performs its function flawlessly. It’s been installed several months and the air conditioner it is installed in has had no issues.

This is a good general purpose replacement contactor for 24v coil and 30 amp specs. I would recommend this.

Although there were differences from my existing contactor, this contactor was fully compatible. I ended up changing the bottom hardware because the old hardware had a square washer instead of a round one. I felt the square washer gave better contact for the stripped wire that did not have a connector on the end of it. Works perfectly.

I used this to replace a shorted HN51KC024 contactor on a Carrier central AC system. The part works as a replacement! The only downside to this part that i see after installing it is that there is no plate to help secure the connections of the two 240V wires (the two bottom terminals). The original part had a metal plate under the screw, and this one just has the screw - resulting in the wire held only by the the screw head. The plate from the original part is just a little too wide to be put onto the terminals of this one.

Update 01/10/23: Problem solved by replacing the Time Delay Relay component, original part# HN67KA071. The part was discontinued and no replacement was recommended by Carrier (!!??). Difficult to find new or used, but a company called Radwell can source used ones, make sure they are working and offer a 2 year guarantee. Easy to replace.I would definitely replace the Coil Contactor, as well, especially if you see signs of arcing. It's also a component likely to fail over time, anyway.Update 12/12/22: Unfortunately, it turns out this replacement part did not completely solve my fan issue, but it did improve it significantly. Now it looks like I'm probably going to have to pay the piper to get the other component installed.I had a problem with my 2002 Carrier all-in-one package heat pump fan not going off. It could have been one of two things and, luckily, this $19 component was the correct solution. The other component, the Time Delay Relay switch, was actually discontinued by the manufacturer with no replacement component listed! I would have had to order a used one at a cost of over $100. My local authorized Carrier service company wanted $380 to replace and install either component, so, big savings and it was pretty simple to install.
