This easy-to-install canopy accommodates compact fluorescent bulbs or low wattage incandescent bulbs.\n\nab combination of different Exon Terra Recti Glow compact fluorescent bulbs can be used (PT2226 / PT2227 / PT2228) to create the ideal ultraviolet/visual light ratio or a combination with an incandescent light source such as the Exon Terra Sun Glow to increase the ambient air-temperature.\n\notional accessories such as the Exon Terra Digital Thermometer and Hygrometer and the Exon Terra Thermostat and Hygrostat can be slid into the special sliding rim on the top of the canopy.

Did exactly as it was intended. Didn't get too warm (it was for a crested gecko, so they don't need too much warmth anyway) and was east to use.Writing in past tense because I sold the whole set up a few years ago.

I love these terrarium toppers. Perfect design for ExoTerra habitats. You can use a variety of bulbs to meet your pets lighting requirements. I currently have one uvb/uva bulb and a plant bulb in mine. This provides exactly what my terrarium needs.

I bought this to use for my crested gecko. Works great! Came packaged very well and undamaged. It is the smallest one and only fits one bulb. I use it on an Exo Terra 18x18x18. It is smaller than the terrarium but still works perfect. I use a UVB bulb and it has not malfunctioned or harmed the bulb. It lights up the tank so I can see inside and is a great compact size if you have your terrarium on shelving. I have mine set up on a timer and it works great. There is a manual button that you can turn on and off if you wish to do so that way. Would highly recommend for small terrariums.

I use this on my bioactive exo terra tank. The plants really seem to be growing much better since I got this fixtures. It really looks nice on top of the exo terra and seems to complete the set up. It does heat up the tank slightly by 1 or 2 degrees if left on for a few hours, but this is not a problem at all.I have been using the exo terra repti-glo 2.0 compact flourescent bulb in this. Highly recommend if you want better plant growth.

I own many reptiles and use a lot of exo terra products. This was nothing short of expectations. I have a nano, a mini and a large terrarium and canopies to go with all of them. I have a gargoyle in the Mini and the fixture does exactly it's job. And with the aluminum inside it helps reflect light and the canopy doesn't sit on the mesh tops of the tank so there's no worries of burning (as with other lights) I love the look of the canopy and tank together. Love all of exo-terra products
