We just got back from Japan and I considered getting a matcha set over there, but my experience is no matter where you are, a lot of things come from China. We really tried to make a point of not buying anything there that we could get elsewhere, but I didn't want the weight in my luggage, either. So I ordered this set and it's lovely!The jade green of the bowl and whisk holder are lovely and deep. All the components seem to be made well enough, I don't anticipate any problems with fading or breaking if I'm comfortable with it. Making matcha tea is easy enough, but you want to make sure you get good quality matcha. This set has everything you need and is a good value for the money.

Gorgeous green matcha set includes everything needed for a morning cup of plant powered focus. The bowl is large enough to properly prepare Matcha, and the whisk and scoop are authentic and traditionally designed. The set is straightforward to use. Overall, between the aesthetic, the intentional design and functionality, as well as the overall quality of this set? This is an excellent Matcha set at this price point.

Wow... I wasn't actively seeking out a matcha bowl and kit, but holy moly—this has become a central feature in my cabinet! I absolutely *love* the size, color, shape, and feel of the bowl. It's so easy to grip and sip, and feels good in the palm of the hand. I've also used this for tea, coffee, and making hot chocolate! So it has multiple functions. I haven't used it for preparing matcha yet, but I have used it for brewing konacha! Two thumbs up. This is *so* worth the value, in my opinion. Highly recommended!

The ceramics in this set are such a lovely green, and I love the shape and aesthetic interest of the bowl. I'm a matcha beginner, but this set was easy to use, and I'm very happy with it. I did a fair amount of research beforehand about how to properly make matcha and care for the chasen (bamboo whisk), and I'm glad I did. The chasen is supposed to be soaked in hot water for two minutes before using, which makes it more flexible so it doesn't break while whisking, and it's supposed to dry on the chasen holder with the handle upright so the handle doesn’t retain water and grow mold over time. Everything was easy to clean. The chasen is supposed to be thoroughly rinsed with water, but not washed with dish soap. It's nice that the ceramic pieces can go in the dishwasher, though I'll likely just wash the bowl by hand between uses, so it's fresh and ready for the next time I make tea. It's a bit expensive, but given that this is the prettiest set I've come across so far, I'm glad I got it anyway. I'm looking forward to incorporating this into my routine!

I've had my eye on some matcha sets for a while. I just really wanted a matcha bowl. I’ve been using a regular bowl or a soup bowl with a handle, and lately some larger mugs for my matcha. Not quite the same. You need a wider base for whisking. But a lot of the matcha sets come with those kind of ugly bowl things with a large obvious spout. I don’t want a spout. I just want to drink out of the bowl when my match is whisked. So I saw this set and knew it was for me!The green is quite pretty. The design is good. The ridges make it easy to hold for whisking and drinking, and give it a bit of an organic feel. No one is mistaking this for an authentic matcha bowl but it does a decent job of pretending.The whisk and scooper are fine. I like the whisk stand it comes with. I have my own whisk and lacquered scooper that I use. This whisk is a bit more hefty than my other, but I’m not sure it whisks any better.I love the bowl and stand set though :)
