Did not come with shade. Light flashes like someone is taking a picture with the flash on, and this happens all night long about 3 mins between flashes.

The wiring in one of our rooms had stopped working so we needed a stop-gap solution while we waited to get the issue resolved. So we decided to try this overhead light. It is quite easy to put together, and the set up is also intuitive. You basically plug the lamp into a socket, run the wire up the wall and then you screw the 3 included clips to the ceiling to keep the wire straight and tidy. It works perfectly. The switch remains on the part of the wire that runs up the wall so you are able to switch it on/off there, or you can leave the switch to the on setting and use the included remote to switch it on/off. That is one thing I can say for this light, it is packed with features. The remote allows you to control all the various color options, plus you can increase the brightness or make it dimmer all from the remote. It is a convenient touch. You can go a step further and even get this light bulb connected to your Amazon Alexa app, and program it from your phone. I never have seen much need for such functionality. I am happy to flip a switch... I think our ancestors would grovel at the level of convenience there is to creating light from the flip of a switch... but now we have taken it a step too far in my opinion... Now we cannot even be bothered to walk over to the switch... It is too much for me... So in honor of my ancestors, I will continue to walk to the light switch. But either way, it does have these functions and you can utilize them to your hearts content!The one negative is that I found the light bulb to be a bit underpowered. It is too dim to use as an overhead light replacement in a bedroom. It can help add light, but should not be relied upon as the sole source of light. That being said, you can use any type of lightbulb you want with this, so you can just replace the included smart bulb with something brighter. You lose the remote control and app functionality, but you get the light level you want. Because of how versatile this light is, I really cannot knock it down a star for not being bright enough. The solution is to use a different lightbulb, which is exactly what I would do with any other lamp I felt was too dim. So kudos for this one being so versatile.All around I am quite happy with this light. It is easy to set up and use, and allows for so many features that you are bound to find at least one setting that you are happy with. Definitely recommend!

Missing the 3 swag hooks, but overall a pretty good lamp. Instructions and QR Scan to download mobile app is on the bulb box.

I got this light for my son’s walk-in closet (his closet had no light fixture in it for some reason). It works perfectly for his closet! The light is nice and bright and the app for the light works well and is actually pretty neat with lots of cool features. Would definitely recommend to others!
