Beautiful piece. Heavy. Solid brass. It came to me as missing the set screw though. Kind of a bummer.

Looks amazing, very sleek and modern. This is a high quality product and the chrome has weight to it unlike general department store faucets. I recommend Hansgrohe products.

Great look and sleek finish if you like modern stuff. This spout is all made of solid metal and it feels like quality to the touch. The installation instructions indicate exactly how deep the female threaded (3/4in) connector needs to be recessed from the finished wall for a perfect fit. All you need is plumber's tape to put it in; everything else is included. The spout itself can rotate after the connector has been tightened so that it can be perfectly aligned. A hidden screw at the bottom of the spout locks it up in place. High water flow (no aerator, fills the tub quickly). Flows smoothly, no splashing. Like other people I've noticed that water puddles do form on the top and do leave streaks as they dry. This is inevitable with the modern flat top design. If you're worried about that buy a different shape or just wipe it off after you use it. So far, all streaks on mine wiped off easily with a cloth.

After looking at all the bathroom faucets at the big box stores, bath/kitchen shops, etc, we settled on buying Hansgrohe products for our two bathroom remodels. Our contractor mentioned that they were one of the better made plumbing fixture products on the market, so we went with them. The only whine I will make about this spout is the design. Love the lines of the spout. But where there is a flat surface, you will have water spots. And large spots we are taking about! Oh well. Does the job, but the design is icky.

This is a solid brass machined, high polish of heavily chrome plated fitting. It weighs almost 2 pounds! The mounting end comes with an adpater to allow for the common copper line sizes, FIP connections etc. Which can seem very complex, you just need to know what's what. There's all the parts (escutcheon, gaskets), instructions and mini tools needed. The spout was bagged and packed in a formed eggcrate inset inside the heavy box. These guys mean business!Once installed it looks and works fine, after all it just a spout. The flat top (which should be installed level) does collect water which dries and leaves stains. It clean off easily but it's noticable on the high polish chrome.

I bought this to go with our other Hansgrohe fixtures in our new bathroom. It's heavy and substantial and built to last. The threads are brass. My plumber had a hard time installing it... he was thrown off by the fact that it has threads on the back. I guess most solder on to a copper pipe? Perhaps a plumber could comment on this review and enlighten us but that's what my plumber implied. He had to cut the back of the shower wall (in a closet) and install a female thread for the spout to screw into. (I might need a cold shower after this review)OK but here's the big flaw with this spout. See the picture? Totally flat on top. When you take a shower, or even just think of water, all of a sudden water beads up on top of this thing. In what seems like seconds the water dries and you have spots. So the cool thing about this -- the shape -- is also a fatal flaw because it has to be wiped down after every shower or you have spots. Given the trouble our plumber had installing this there's no way I'm going to pull this off and return it, so we'll live with wiping it down, but thought you'd want to know.A nice fixture aside from those two details...

Well, not too much to review other than the fact that this tub spout is well made. This is made entirely of metal so it is heavy. I think it's going to last a very long time.Be careful when you're ordering because you can either buy this one or the one with diverter, which looks almost exactly the same.If you have a shower controller with diverter (like me, I have a Thermostatic with diverter trim), then you buy this spout. If you just have a shower trim without diverter, then you'll need to buy the spout with diverter. For that spout, you lift up the diverter thingy to redirect the water from tub to shower. This spout is 6 3/4" long.
