Once charged, the coffee cup stayed at a constant 149 degrees while on the plate. It still hovered around 130 degrees an hour later when off the charging plate. Works great for me

I confirmed that the temps are accurate, and it hold the set temp well. Charge speed is acceptable, but the battery is only good for a couple of cups if you drink it slowly over time (if you don't then why do you need a cup designed to keep it at temp over longer periods?) before needing to recharge it, or you just rest it on the charger instead of your desk or table. The charging puck also uses a wall wart adapter with a 3.5mm barrel plug, and this would be greatly improved by using a USB-C plug instead for versitility so you only have to transport the puck, and not the adapter too, since we have USB-C phone chargers everywhere.The bottom is insulated from water incursion, but I would still avoid getting it too wet, and don't submerge it, otherwise it is easy enough to clean it. The lid has gone through the dishwasher without issue though, which I do because I feel better about cleaning it there with too many small spaces for liquid to get left from handwashing it (soap tastes nasty and the perfume from it ruins the drink experience).Overall though, a well made heating cup, but would be better with more battery capacity and USB-C connection on the charging puck so you are not tied to a specific wall adapter.

Keeps my coffee hot till it’s gone. After adding creamer my coffee isn’t quite as hot as I like it and this heats it back up and stays there. No more wasted coffee because it got cold sitting out.

I've had an ember mug for better part of a year, and love coming back to the perfect sip no matter lid on, lid off, 30 minute or an hour old. So I was sold on the value prop right off the bat. However, the ember still has some downsides: the pins are known to rust if the bottom of your mug isn't dry, and it also can only be controlled via app. This mug by happiness is great and fixes both of those issues (at literally a small fraction of the cost at the time of this review). The pins/charging ring are stated to be gold plated so rust resistant. The best part is the digital display that lets you see and set temp without having to go into an app. Now if that's your thing, you still can as there is an app that is very similar to ember. The only big difference is that I don't believe it sends notifications when set points have been reached (i could be mistaken, or that could be easily developed). This version is the M2 that is 14-16 oz, and they also have a M1 that is 10-12 oz. I definitely prefer the look of the M1 being sleek without the middle hump, but the M2 is nice as well. The only real negative is that I wish there was a understated logo on the mug rather than saying "Happiness" as I think that would be more appropriate for a work environment. All in all, give it a try before dropping a much larger amount on an ember.

I’ve been using the Happiness Smart Heated Coffee Mug (16oz) for a few days now, and I’m already in love with it. It’s such a great way to enjoy coffee at the perfect temperature — I found that I like it best at 140°F, and this mug keeps it there consistently. You can easily control the temperature either through the app or directly on the cup itself, which is super convenient. I’ve been able to enjoy at least five drinks before needing to recharge it again. If you’re serious about your coffee (or tea!), this mug is a game changer. Highly recommend!

Such a useful coffee mug. I have such busy mornings and my coffee would always get cold. This mug helps keep it warm and it was easy to set up and use
