It only manages to keep my coffee lukewarm. :(I am a coffee drinker. I am That Guy that walks around with a coffee cup/mug in-hand. I got this product with the hope that it would keep the coffee in my mug HOT. Prior to beginning my testing on this product, I determined my expectations, vis-a-vis coffee temperature. I found that at 160°F I could comfortably manage only quick little sips. At 155° I could just drink from the mug. From 140° to 135°, for me it has entered the lukewarm zone and below 135°, I grab the mug and head for a microwave. So, ideally, I want(need) my coffee to be 140° to 155°.I set the unit to its displayed maximum temperature: 185°.This is a very nice product with adjustable heat steps and a timer(!). I was actually testing this one side-by-side with another (36W as opposed to REIDEA's 30W) but only the Other unit managed to fulfill my requirement ... under certain conditions. I tested them both with regular 8~10oz coffee cups. Fail/Fail ... best either could produce was lukewarm. Seeking to maximize their potential, I retrieved a couple of my enamel steel British Army (broad arrow '62) mugs. They are metal & sport flat bottoms, so should do a better job with heat transfer. Only the Other unit passed the test, keeping the coffee above 140°.Thinking that a flatbottom GLASS cup/mug would probably be good, also. But ... are such things available in borosilicate glass (remembering my Lab days)? Off to Amazon to search for such a beast. VOILA! Yes they are! I ordered a 6pc 16oz mug set for a VERY affordable price. As I compose this, I am enjoying a cup of HOT coffee (just checked it again, 145.2°) in one of my new borosilicate mugs kept pleasingly hot on my Other Coffee Mug Warmer.Unfortunately, the REIDEA NENO Coffee Mug Warmer only manages to keep my coffee lukewarm. :(

I ordered this for my home office as I love the one in my main office (which was a gift - different brand than this one). I like the digital display and the ease of manipulating the settings, but I have been disappointed at the level of heat it produces. Even at the highest setting (185 degrees F), it only keeps my coffee luke-warm at best.

The warming base heats up super fast, which is great. It has some cool features like quick heating and a timer. I feel like it would be more useful to see where the actual temperature is once you set it. I can feel the mug warmer getting hot, but I'm not convinced that heat is really getting within my mug to my drink. My drink usually stays barely warm or even gets cold, so it doesn't really reheat it. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with how this product hardly even warmed my drink.

I pair this up with my super large and thick ceramic Starbucks mug and got very good results with it. The warming pad heats up very quickly and maintains temperature very well. Beyond the obvious good features such as rapid heating and excessive use of timer/scheduler, I gotta say, this thing would have done better if there is a temperature sensor instead of only displaying the temperature settings. I know the base plate only displays the target temp, but it would make more sense if the actual temp is displayed once target temp is set. Can see a ramp up of temps; doesn't matter if the the mug runs the same temp or not, at least I get to know if the base plate is heating well enough or not. Another gripe I have with this is that there are too many control temp types. I myself don't care if the temp's been set for ceramic, glass, or metal. Just give me 3 temps from high to low and let me land somewhere, while the temp sensor shows the actual temp of the plate will make a lot of sense for this warmer. But all in all, this thing works well, you get to really fine tune your selections where as for me, I didn't care for that much and all I wanted is just a warmer with one button for the temp and another for a timer. Anyway, good warmer, very well made and priced economically. Highly recommended.

At 30 watts, this warmer takes a little longer to heat up versus some 40 watt units I've tested. But it definitely gets hot enough, and feels a bit more sophisticated due to the more elaborate and refined controls/display/features. It has a dedicated push on/off button, a touch selector for mug type (glass/ceramic/metal) that customizes the temperature range (since glass requires higher heat transfer than metal), plus a touch timer. The timer button can be used to schedule when to turn on and start heating, as well as how long to maintain heat before auto shutoff (the default is 2 hours). It's a nifty feature, which can be adjusted in 1-hour increments up to 12 hours. Most others that I've tried only offer countdown to shutoff in 2-hour increments up to 8 hours. That versatility may be a bit overkill, but still nice to have just in case. All the touch controls are raised buttons, and work well. The display shows the mug type, remaining time and selected temperature (3 options per mug type). It looks very nice and works well, though I haven't tested temperature accuracy with a thermometer. But the heating pad does noticeably increase or decrease heat according to the settings. Only time will tell regarding durability, but so far this one is a winner.
