I ordered this wire in April as a project was coming up. The box had been taped but appeared to be okay, so it was put in our store room. I opened it up today to install on our welder, and a piece had been broken off the outside of the reel. It appeared that it wasn't bad enough to bother it's operation. I installed it on the welder and started to feed it into the MIG gun and it kept binding on the reel. Upon inspection it appeared that the wire had pulled down onto the spool between the coils of the wire. I thought the tension may have been set too tight. it wasn't. I unraveled it and proceeded again. Same thing. I was looking down on the reel, and the back side was crooked to the reel face. WTF. So I pulled it off and put it on the table, turned it around to look at the back side, and discovered the inner portion of the reel had been fractured half way around. This wire must have been thrown from one point to the other. I have heard of this on this forum before. I'd really like to get it replaced, but at this point and timeframe, I have my doubts. A 33 lb. roll of wire is too heavy to be tossing around like parcel post.

.035 welding wire arrived packed nicely to keep it dry. Plastic spool fits onto machine with zero issues. Wire feeds smoothly and produces very nice beads with minimal spatter. Welding grain cross section is excellent. 10/10 would buy again.

Good welding wire. Much better deal buying 30 pound spool if your welder can accommodate the larger spool.

I've been buying wire spools for my MIG welder since the mid 1990's. Never have I seen such a thinly made spool as with the first one Amazon shipped to me. It was badly cracked and split in two places. The spool looked just too thin and delicate for intact shipment to anywhere with 33lbs of wire upon it. The package stated "Made in India".Amazon promptly send a replacement. This package stated "Made in Vietnam". This plastic spool is sturdy and all was packed nicely.ER70S-6 is your MIG welding wire of choice for spray-arc. Use with 93 - 95% Argon and remainder C02.

I'm glad I purchased this instead of the 11lb spools. This should last three times as long - when it's time to reorder - I'll order again from this seller. The spool did arrive busted on one side - shipping should of been a lot better. I was using 0.030 wire and it was okay - I wanted to lay down a large thick bead and the 0.030 wasn't very good at it doing so - this solved all my problems! Thanks

Welding wire is fine, no issues. Unfortunately because the thing is so heavy the plastic housing spool was damaged. the spool cracked on the inside where the wire would pull down inside it. because I needed immediately, I squeezed it back together with a c clamp and epoxied it back with a few strips of reinforcement cloth. I have used about half of it now without issue. I will not purchase again online.
