What I received is not what is displayed in the advertisement. The build quality is nowhere near what is shown. The stain is blotchy and the insides are extremely rough and unfinished. Not worth the price paid.Cheers

Pros: I really like the design of this storage box, particularly the lid, which is attached and easily slides open. I love the design on the lid. It gives the box an old world feel, as does the pretty mango wood. I've read that mango wood is food safe, so initially wasn't concerned about storing salt / spices when I ordered this. That brings me to the Cons: There is a very strong (almost chemical) smell when opening the box. I presume it's from the stain used on the wood. But it's so strong that I had to put it in another room to hopefully air out. The wood also has a slightly oily feel to it, so am not sure if the wood was just recently stained. In any case, I personally won't be using it for food storage for quite awhile. That said, for the price, I still think this is a pretty and decorative box and could easily be used for jewelry and other things.
