The short handle is way too long for this size peel. The peel itself does not have a smooth surface to slide under the pizza. Also for pizza ovens this is probably too small except for personal sized pizzas.

This thing is perfect for a personal-size pizza or a smaller frozen pizza, but the round handle and small peel plate are an awkward combination for anything larger. It's great for unsticking a pizza from a home oven rack or a smaller pizza oven, but not terribly practical for anything else.

This pizza kitchen gadget is easy to use. Used it on a pizza same size as the metal circular pizza holder and it worked great. Haven't tried it with a bigger pizza yet.

(See pictures 1 and 2) The metal piece is approximately .165" (4.2mm) thick and has no taper.The bottom of the peel is not flat with the bottom of the handle like every other peel i use (see 3rd picture with standard peel), but is instead centered on the handle. This means that rather than being parallel to the oven floor, the peel is angled downward as you approach the pizza.Both of the issues tend to cause the peel to push your pizza instead of sliding underneath if you are not very careful when inserting it. These are both big issues for me with this peel since I don't want my pizza to move or be shoved into the hot coals when I rotate it. Interestingly enough this peel seemed to work best when used upside down from the way it is shown in their pictures. Manufacturer take note.

The pizza peel is well made, constructed of stainless steel. The peel is thin, yet rigid, making it easy to slide under the pizza crust. The tubular handle has two sections that can be separated, making it easy to store. It works great with our Ooni Karu12 pizza oven.

This item was easy to assemble and easy to clean. Since the handle wheel separate, you can store it easily until the next use. I would advise that you buy according to the pizza size you most often cook. Buying a 7" size won't work well for a larger size pizza. In a 2.0 version, I would like to see a more ergonomic grip feature as the handle is metal and smooth.
