I did not know that the opposite side was not threaded. Needed it to be . I was to use it on a 500 gallon water tank inlet feed off a float valve.

For aquariums...this is the one you want. Its a bit bulky but it is indestructible and has a beefy gasket you can really torque down on. Safe for reef tanks.

This is a very heavy duty. It's what I call an industrial size component. I have no worries about this ever leaking after I install this in my aquaponics tank for part of the drain

A delightfully made piece! Works extremely well to attach a hose to the bottom of a poly rain barrel. Seems a tad pricey... but it is a one-time buy and I'm confident it will outlast me! Probably a very good value.

Fit exactly as dimensions described. Easy to install with flat spots on the outside threads to allow one person installation and tightening.

I needed this fitting for an old well water holding tank that already had this brand fitting. The only problem was that either the manufacturer started making them a little larger or I had a slightly different model. So I ended up having to enlarge the hole in the poly tank. It took a while and a little creativity to not destroy the tank. But this is a high quality part , And a good price thru Amazon.Written by a Master Plumber
