Bought this to replace the PTO switch on my Scag Tiger Cub. The item is just a tad larger in dimension than the one I took off....so for MY machine I had to use a file to enlarge the hole in the control panel ever so slightly. I might have been able to force it in without doing anything....but it just took a couple of minutes.The heavier contacts in this switch should hold up better. Eventually any electrical component will fail...but so far this has been great for me.One thing to check IF your PTO switch is getting hot...or popping to the 'off' position by itself is your PTO clutch.Use a multi-meter to 'ohm' it out. Check to see if you have an internal short. Most should 'ohm' out between 2 and 4 ohms if good. If less than that...then your PTO clutch is probably shorted and will start burning up your switches.

To be sure, such switches are 'nothing special'. But this is the specified swiitch for the mower, nicely finished, great price, and quick delivery. I'd certainly buy one again!L

It seam to be holding up. In time we will know how well they desiged this one I got a mower 8 yr. old and the swith is till working.

I needed the part, and this fit the bill. I hope the increased amperage capacity will resolve the faulty unit I replaced. Only difficulty was that the mounting clips are VERY tight in the Scag panel opening, to the point that I had to shave them with a knife before I could get them to go on. But it works!

Worked good but only for half a season. Not sure how Upgraded this is since it didn't last very long. The part of the switch that is supposed to supply power for start up broke. I had to use a jumper on that portion of the switch so I could get my scag mower started. This gets me by till a new switch of a different brand comes in.
