Purchased 100 ft cable and found it to long for my application. Tried finding support on Amazon and manufacturers website with no luck. Tried sending e mails with no replies. Other roof melt cables make end cops to shorten but not for this wire. Now it is well past any return policy and stuck with expensive wire that I can not use.

This 100ft cable is very durable and build well.It is flexible even though thick, seems very durable and safe to work with.This heating cable will fit on any roof and under cooler conditions the heat output increases, and as the temperature rises the output decreases to save on energy. It also suitable for plastic or metal pipes.

This heated cable is easy to position inside the gutter. It unrolled easily, and it was easy to lay it in the roof gutter.I ran the cable down the outside of the downspout - now it is only the beginning of the freezing season, but I think that I may reconsider this for next year, and run the cable down the inside of the drain.The problem that I think I may have created is that I didn't initially put enough tie-wraps to keep the wire against the downspout the entire length - so there are some places where there is small gap between the wire and the gutter. I believe that this will enable ice to form and fill the downspout.
