The wind in NJ has been crazy lately. Neither this thing, nor the umbrella it’s holding, have budged an inch. One of my best Amazon purchases!

Works great on the deck. Love how my umbrella tilts and covers areas. Easy to setup

I purchased these brackets to secure two 10’ umbrellas to our front deck aluminum railing. The quality is good but there are a couple of issues that people should be aware of….The rubber material that is included to help protect the railing that you’re attaching these brackets to worked well at first, but within a couple of weeks of installing, the summer heat caused the adhesive to melt and they literally slid off the brackets, which caused the brackets to slide down. We live in northern NY so it’s not like we deal with really hot weather that others in the South deal with. Now the rubber material is useless and I had to remove all of it at the end of the summer. I’ll be trying another material I found when I install these again in the spring. The other issue is the design of the long horizontal brackets. The material seemed beefy / thick and I didn’t think there would be any problem installing these, but I quickly discovered that because they made these with long slots to accommodate the screws, it causes the screws to move further away from the center as you tighten the screws. It’s difficult to keep the screws from “walking” and the slight bending of the brackets as you tighten the screws causes the screws to move further outward. I think it would have been better if the manufacturer drilled a series of holes instead of using long slots. This would prevent the screws from wandering. If it wasn’t for these 2 issues, I would have rated these brackets 5-stars.

Easy to install and very sturdy. Holds the umbrella better than the weighted ground holder.

So far it’s excellent! No damage to my new wood deck. Holds my 9ft umbrella securely. And it’s not ugly. Hardly notice it’s there. So much better than a big heavy floor stand. I’m very impressed with it. Thank you.

This deck railing holder can be mounted on a 4x4 or directly on the railings. I like that it is extremely sturdy and holds the umbrella steady yet it is not permanent and can be moved to different locations on the railing depending on the position of the sun. Mounting it is a little trickier than I had originally thought, but with my hunsband lending an extra hand installation went smoothly.

I ordered this holder earlier in the summer for my first year using an umbrella on my deck. Since my deck is narrow, I didn’t want a bulky, weighted holder. This holder makes great use of the deck railing, saving valuable space.Assembly was fairly easy and didn’t require any tools. However, the parts look quite similar, and I initially assembled the top cross piece incorrectly, so be sure to double-check as you go. Occasionally, I tighten the knobs a bit, as they tend to loosen over time, but overall, I’m very satisfied with the product and would recommend it.
