This umbrella anchor worked very well. It definitely kept our umbrella in place when the winds picked up on the beach. I was a little surprised how big it was but it is very sturdy. Would definitely recommend!

I saw one of these in action in Florida while the winds kept me wrapped around my umbrella trying to keep it from blowing away. I am hopeful this will secure my umbrella so I can have a more peaceful beach visit

We bought this to take to the beach obviously. Getting this to screw into the sand was a little more difficult than I thought it would be, but once in, it stands up nicely and holds on to the umbrella. The set screw that secures the umbrella in place holds very nicely and doesn't allow it to back out at all.

This is probably my fault for buying it from Amazon but when we tried to use it, the umbrella wouldn't stay up. There were no instructions so I wasn't sure what viscosity to make the sand on the freaking beach so that the roughly 3" dia screw with woefully inadequate 1" turns would catch the 6 square inches of loose beach sand around it. Maybe this product would be good for someone with clay beaches?

I purchased this item in hopes of stopping my beach umbrella from blowing over during winds on the beach. While it's better than nothing, it certainly doesn't work as well as I expected. If the winds are above 12mph it's basically ineffective. My beach umbrella has been blown out of the sand 2 times already. The winds weren't what I would consider to be "heavy"..maybe 13mph at the most. Again I will say it's better than not having any thing but I expected more from it.
