I compared this tool with different volt meters on diffent types of industrial batteries and it was on point with it measurements.I will recommend this toolWe will see how long it lasts.Thank you

If you are a DIY/Troubleshooting person like myself, then you need this tool in your collection

What I like most about this probe / tester is the backlit voltage display. I can easily read the display without my reading cheaters on. It also has a red and a green LED for displaying polarity. The actual range of DC voltage it can handle is quite useful at 3 volts up to 72 volts. The extra large clamp/clip makes it easy to connect to a battery post if needed, and is much more useful than others that just have a small alligator clip. The coiled cord is thicker than others I have, but is still very flexible and seems well made. It stretches out to almost 12 feet. In my opinion this is a tool that vehicle repair DIY’ers should have on hand. I am swapping out my old pen sized ones with the light up handles in favor of these.

Far more heavy duty than I was expecting, this is a well-constructed tester that requires no internal voltage source to operate. I connected it initially to a digital converter to test the readout. Within the range of 3v to 24v (as far as I was able to test due to my converter's limitation), the unit was accurate to 0.1v, indicating the polarity via red (+) and green (-) LEDs and the voltage on a backlit LCD readout. The extension provides sufficient length to easily reach the dash area of a car while the clamp is attached directly to the battery. On my small car, I had no trouble reaching the taillight area. The unit is a little long to fully get into some tight spaces and since it is unpowered does not have a built-in light, but it's a definite add to a car repair kit.

I can't count the number of times I have been under a dashboard with a multimeter, trying to hold a probe to ground (sometimes jamming it into place somewhere contacting ground, very occasionally smart enough to grab an aligator clip lead to clip on) and trying to verify power with the other probe. This is a simple, easy, solidly made tool to make an uncomfortable job far easier. Well worth the price, in my opinion.

This is a good basic tester for troubleshooting electrical systems. I had an older one that quit working so this is replacing that one. It works well and is well made. It has a really long reach too, much longer than my old one. Tests a wide range of voltages. Good buy.

As I stated, this is no Power Probe. However, for $18, you wouldn't expect it to be. This is a small probe which displays the voltage and polarity in any circuit. It'll do it from 3 vdc up to 72 vdc, which is an added bonus for big rig circuits. It can help you detect issues such as only getting partial voltage. This is something your regular test light can't do for you. It is a solid tool and should last a long time.

The first thing I noticed about this tool was how well it's constructed! It feels sturdy to the point if I drop it or run over it with the car, it'll survive easily. I like the fact it'll tell you the voltage as well as if it's negative or positive connection at the tip. Even the cord is thick and doesn't feel cheap. A wonderful gift for that auto tech or diy guy. I would highly recommend tester!
