Growing vegetables on a patio garden can be hard work when part of the patio is shaded. I set up this mylar to give my vegetables more light. In the few weeks since I set up the mylar, my vegetables are growing straight up instead of bending over and growing straight into the patio screen!Pros:-Very Effective at Reflecting Light- Double Sided Reflections (if you need it)-Semi-rigidCons:-Awkwardly Long Packaging-No Adhesive Backing (I used modge podge to attach the mylar to cardboard)

It was very inexpensive, but I had an older roll that was of higher quality (thicker?) I covered the walls in my music room in the basement and this is wrinkly and very distorted. Unlike the older sections that are only sort of distorted :) I am interested in the aesthetics of the product rather than any practical purpose.For what I was doing I think I should have opted for the more expensive version.In any event, me and the kids have fun with the crazy lights and reflective walls in the room! :)

Arrived on time and the price is amazing. I was able to staple it right up to plywood. No issues of it tearing or ripping. It's been up for a few weeks now and I take no precaution to care for it. I've had zero problems with it.

I bought this Mylar to enclose a wintertime hydroponics station in my basement. I was losing a ton of light out of my 6 bulb T-5 Fixture such that the lights on the outer edges of my grow bed were nearly in the dark. I built a frame out of 3/4" pvc pipes and fittings and then wrapped this Mylar around the entire thing except for over the light fixture....WHAT A DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT!!!Now all the plants are getting huge amounts of light. The film itself is not super thick, but if you're too rough with it, I can see it tearing. Also, when working with it, you will see the reflective coating getting scratched, but I didn't see a noticeable affect on it's performance. Now that my entire grow bed is wrapped with this Mylar, I literally need sunglasses to look in on the plants. You can see through the film in a single layer, kind of looks like you are looking through dark sunglasses. You can also use foam posterboard as a backing and use some spray adhesive to attach the Mylar to it to make flat panels, I did this on three sides and it worked pretty well...actually, after spraying the foam posterboard with the adhesive, just unroll the Mylar onto to board while pressing down and it will come out nearly wrinkle free.I would highly recommend this to any indoor gardener/hydroponics grower to increase their lumen capture on their beds.

My order through amazon with these people went fine and as expected. However, ordering directly from their website produced a totally bad customer experience.My order was not complete, but instead of trying to correct it, I was given the complete run-around and then accused of trying to deceive them about some missing plastic tee's (~$5.00), I have grown completely frustrated and will NEVER order anything else from Atlantis Hydroponics (web or brick-and-mortar) as a result. I suggest if you do deal with them it be ONLY via Amazon, because ordering directly from their site only leaves you at the mercy of their arrogant "eCommerce nerds".I see that any further loyalty to their store would be useless and unappreciated, so I recommend you spend your money elsewhere if at all possible.

This is a good deal. About half the price of other 50 feet by 4 feet. Haven't used it yet but I can tell this is going to reflect a lot of light.

Very shiny, 50 feet is quite a lot too. it doesn't bend real easily which great! Comes on a roll with caps on the end to help it keep it from unraveling. Someone said the tape left residue, however I had got some duct tape onto it, and peeled it off (it didn't bend, rip or tear even though I was being very very rough) and it didn't leave anything I couldn't wipe away with a bit of water and a rag.I'd definitely buy it again!
