Very sturdy, we used this for mounting a very heavy large antique mirror and we couldn’t be happier. My wife loves this mirror and she says for the first time in years she’s confident that it’s truly secure. As far as I’m concerned it’s fantastic value for the money.

French Cleats are ideal for hanging heavy mirror & wall art because they spread/support the load much better than hooks and wire and prevent tilting. Just make sure to attach the fingers up on the wall component and fingers down on the object to be hung. These aluminum extrusions interlace precisely with only a couple of micrometers underlap room to spare; you may want to attached the cleats loosely, especially if your walls are not flat. The cleat ends had no burrs but were sharp; you may want to buff them out. The hardware is metric; the cleat drill holes not countersunk, so the flat head screws sit proud. A 6mm drill bit is provided for the 30mm mollies; short 17mm screws for the mirror & 30mm screws for the wall. Two sets of French Cleat Pairs are provided, so vey heavy objects can be supported top & bottom (which is almost impossible to do), but this system is so strong, most objects need only be hung from the top, as I did with my 3’ x 4.5’ mirror. My only serious complaint is that the screws holes were not countersunk, which I did with my metric 90° countersink and I did buff out the sharp ends. - thus only 4 Stars.

This mounting hardware is great for hanging heavy artwork, mirrors etc. French cleats are super easy to use and make hanging and removing the piece easy. You attach one piece of the cleat to the back of the object the other to the wall and they link together to provide a firm hold. No worries about pictures falling off the walls any longer.

The mounting diagram for these Z-Bars in the instruction insert is confusing. However, it's easy to figure out how to use them. With that stated, the installation is now complete. I had two pieces of art to hang. The largest was 43" x 73" and weighed approx. 50 pounds. You will definitely need a good level to complete the job along with an electric drill / screw driver, and a stud finder. There are 24 holes in each piece. So be patient. The drywall anchors and screws worked well. You will not need the anchors in the studs you encounter. There were twice as many screws and anchors that were shipped in this box. So that may have been a mistake. Attaching the railing to the framed art is tedious. At the end of the day, it was worth the money and the pieces are firmly in place. I would give this 4.5 stars. The only reason am giving it 4 stars is because more instructions should be added.

These are excellent for heavy weight mounting. Built extremely well and come with easy use anchors. Fit also quite well. Doesn't bend at all.
