Works well but is very lightweight. Not sure how it will hold up in windy weather.

Flimsy and not secure. Spins around with any amount of wind.

I needed to replace my old flag stand. This one is solid, easy to assemble and looks very presentable. I love that it's a strong heavy duty stand and that you can add a flag as well as a plant. Also, its a great size, so it stands out in the garden as well. The only thing I wish it came with a clip to hold the flag. I ended up using the old one to keep the flag still.

I gave this item as a gift to my secret sister. I was pleased and I hope she was.

I recently received this "Heavy-Duty Garden Flag Stand with Shepherd's Hook Holder – Sturdy Metal Frame for 12x18 Inch Flags & String Lights, Weather-Resistant Outdoor Lawn, Patio, Yard Decorations" and it's a great little 2-fer! I'd been wanting a garden flag since the last curb-appeal project I finished, but never got around to it until seeing this 2-for-1 styled shepherd's hook. I liked that it's for the smaller (12" x 18") flags and also had a hanger for either a solar light or a bird feeder. The hook was very simple to assemble - just screw the pieces together and you're pretty much finished. The bottom of the hook has the single (main) ground spike, but also has two adjustable double-prong pieces (giving it a total of 5 in the ground) to increase the stability. Fairly straightforward on the whole. It's not a super strong piece, so anything you hang from the non-flag hook will need to be fairly lightweight to avoid making the hook lean.Priced at only $9.99 when I placed my order, this 2-for-1 shepherd's hook is a decent little decor item that I'm happy recommending to others who might be as slow (or as reluctant) to join the Garden Flag Society as I was. New members always welcome!Happy to recommend.

I wouldn't call this heavy duty, but it does the job. The prongs that go into the ground bent a bit while trying to drive it into the hard ground we have here in Arizona. I don't think it would withstand the weight of a hanging plant. My flag twists back and forth on windy days so I may need to find a way to reinforce it a bit, but it works for now to display my son's graduation flag.

Not sure I’d say heavy duty, it feels sturdy, without anything on it. There are no directions, but it should be fairly intuitive. Everything fits together well. The part for the flag has a nut on it, and probably does need to be on - to tighten down a little. I screwed it in two times and the second time (with the nut) it was upside down. At this time, I don’t have a flag - so, I can’t say how it holds up in the wind. It does have a nice base, that has 4 stakes - should stay in place. Going with 5 stars, it is as stated, with the exception of my own expectation of ‘heavy duty’.

Decent quality - not super stout or robust like standard shepherd's hooks purchased at home improvement stores, but nonetheless of quality that matches the current $10 price. I would not describe this as "heavy duty" by any means. You won't be able to hang a 10" hanging basket from this but a 6" or 7" basket works nicely. It was easy to assemble and slide my garden flag on, as well as a small hanging basket. I can't speak to longevity yet but this will get a true workout in my sizzling hot Texas front yard with lots of blazing sunshine. The one head-scratcher is that the upward-pointing end of the metal tube that holds the hanging basket is open. There is no rubber cap, so rainwater or sprinkler/hose water WILL get inside and collect in the u-shape. I'm going to close this off with some hot glue but for an outdoor item, this is a huge oversight on the part of the manufacturer/seller to not have a little rubber cap to block the entrance of water into the hollow metal tube.Overall, is it worth 10 bucks? I think so. It's looking really lovely to brighten up my front yard, currently with an adorable Easter-themed garden flag and a small hanging basket of purple oxalis.
