Just used to repair my Hayward C1750 filter house lower rod threads. Wife deadheaded the pump and popped the cover off stripping the lower threads. Was looking at $300+ for a new lower housing. Used Helicoils when I was a mechanic and thought this would be a viable repair. Lucky the material is pressed fiberglass with a brass insert in the thread hole. Used the threader and made the larger hole then chased the Helicoil in with supplied tool. Seated snuggly and so far so good. BTW the kit comes with the Tap, Helicoil chaser and 5 coils in a red package.

My 1986 Bronco 4WD shifter bolt was stripped out and wouldn't shift. With this and a 14.5mm drill bit, I'm back in the mud holes. Thanks Helicoil, you came to the rescue again.

Great product fixed my threads at the bottom of my pool filter. Only took about 10 minutes. Highly Recommend.

Worked well on a Eaton rear end today. It does take a 19/32” drill bit. Just need to be careful when installing because no second chances.

WE HAVE BEN USING THESE FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS TO PUT THREADS BACK IN HOLES THAT LOST THE ORIGINALS. WE HAVE ALSO USED THEM IN SOFTER MATERIALS TO MAKE MUCH MORE DURABLE THREADS.THESE ARE MUCH EASER AND STRONGER THEN TAPING A HOLE TO BIGGER SIZE THEN SCREWING IN A BOLT CUTTING IT OFF THEN DRILLING AND TAPING IT BACK TO ORIGINAL SIZE. WITH THESE WHEN YOU GET A SET FOR A SIZE GET THE RECOMENDED SIZE DRILL BIT TO KEEP WITH SET.TO USE THESE JUST DRILL THE HOLE A BIT DEEPER THEN THE INSERT IS LONG TO ALOW FOR STARTER PART OF TAP , BLOW THE GRIT OUT OF HOLE THEN JUST TAP THE DRILLED HOLE BLOW THE GRIT OUT OF HOLE AGAIN THEN SCREW INSERT ON INSTALLER SCREW IN A LITTLE PAST FLUSH REMOVER INSTALLER TOOL AND FINNALELY USE A PUNCH TO BREAK THE INSTALLATION TAB OFF IN BOTTOM OF THE INSERT .WE USED THEM ON CARS,TRUCKS,TRACTORS,MACHINES AND EVEN ON SECURITY CAMERAS.IF THE THREADS GET AWAY HELICOIL CAN PUT THEM BACK EVEN STRONGER THEN THEY WERE
