works with a load on them. I pull a camper and a boat these help it to not sag as much. I torqued mine all the way down which flattens the silencers a lot. had to cut off excess from u bolts. gives the truck a little lift

Went on easy as pie. Love the fit and the way it lifted the rear of my truck by about 1 1/2" . Good ride. Haven't loaded my truck camper yet but it looks like the springs will do as expected. Very happy so far!

two of the threaded nuts were cracked through. I had to go to ACE hardware and buy replacements. Good thing I caught the problem.

I put these on a 1998 F-150 long-bed. They definitely keep the loads level and make a huge difference in the way the truck handles / rides when loaded. Fairly easy to install, if you're handy and have some tools. As others have noted, the bolts run long--longer than a deep socket will accept. I decided not to cut mine down until after I drove it and played with the adjustment a bit. I used a deep socket until it ran out of travel and then a box end wrench. After getting them into the right adjustment for me I cut the bolts off and used a torque wrench and double-nutted them. If I ever have to take them off it will have to be done in the proper sequence as the bolts are under tension now.I measured each side, ground to top of wheel well and adjusted to level. I torqued the ends down to where the gap in the bushing just disappeared (top and bottom touching). This raised my bed about 1-1/4". Doesn't seem to affect the unloaded ride. Rear end seems slightly stiffer (unloaded) but it's not an issue. No change in braking performance.I do hear mine move every once in a while but it's not very often. It's a pretty good "clunk" when they move. My impression is that it's not the springs bumping together under compression (which the nylon bushing would dampen) rather that it is the u-bolt sliding laterally on the existing leaf spring set. I could be wrong, I've not really looked at it very hard. One reviewer suggests just getting 3/4 ton springs and I can see that. The advantage of these is that they went on pretty fast for me--about 30 minutes per side. Also, the progressive feature had appeal for me, though I'm running them about 50% between full progressive and full compression. I'm guessing if I went to full compression I might not hear them move around.I posted a photo of everything that came in the box and a photo showing the finish on the springs.

They are not silent. In fact they sound like something is breaking off of my truck every time I go over a bump. This does help the ride when towing though. But for the money. I would say the bushings are a waist of time. And if you can afford it just buy 3/4 ton leaf springs. I wish I had. If I didn't have to cut the u bolts to install them the way the instructions said to for my f150. I would send them back. Smart move on their part making them unreturnable.

Work like they are suppose to and easy to install.

Works like it's supposed to and easy enough to install. Take your time installing it. Had to move mine as far forward as possible to give proper clearance between the rear u-bolts and the bed. Which made it necessary to slightly adjust the parking brake cable routing. Also needed to have the threads of the bent u-bolts (which attach at the axle) cut down by about 1". Otherwise not even a deep socket will work.Probably could cut down the threads of the end u-bolts so a deep socket would work for them also. I'm not taking them back off now, so I just use a ratcheting wrench on them.Make sure you have a torque wrench and a 7/8" deep socket for the nuts. A wrench that can open to 7/8" is needed to adjust the end u-bolts. At least mine came with 7/8" nuts (for 1998 F150 supercab 4x4). Make sure to tighten the end u-bolts with a load in the bed or a trailer hitched up (per the instructions) otherwise they will rattle because they're too loose when the vehicle is empty. Take measurements of the frame and bumper to ground heights at both sides to get your vehicle as level as possible from side to side. They did raise the rear end by about 1"-2"; didn't notice if it rides stiffer or not. Definitely not a cheap product; though the flat brackets do bend slightly when torquing down the nuts.
