The kite is adorable and material can handle strong wind. Sadly everytime I fly it and I think I can get it to fly for a while for my child, the kite just rams itself into the ground. I thought I placed sticks in wrong spots and rearranged them but same thing occured. Yet again maybe I don't know how to fly a kite 😅

I picked this out for my younger children. They can tear up a cheap kite from the five quarters store pretty fast, and this seemed like a good option. The directions for putting it together were pretty vague, but we figured it out without much problem. The material is quite nice and feels durable, not like it's going to rip or tear if you look at it wrong. I especially like the "tail" and that it's a cute little swirl instead of a ton of little ribbons (which inevitably get tangled). It's a little awkward to store when we're not using it, but what kite isn't? We've flown it a couple times and the kids all enjoyed it - we'll count it as a W.

I ordered this kite for my 8 year old grandson. He immediately assembled it, with some assistance from his father, and they went outside to fly it. He had never flown a kite before and it took some training, guidance, and imagination on a particularly windless day, but he LOVED it! The kite is not your typical plastic kite that lasts only until it hits a tree branch or gets crushed upon landing. This kite is made of a more durable fabric, and even survive a crash in the trees. He and his dad will go out again on a proper windy day to get more of a real kite flying experience, but for the conditions we did have, the kite flew beautifully, just not very high. without the wind to lift it.

This dragon kite is absolutely adorable and easy to put together and use. It has the cutest face and is bright and colorful (also patriotic, with its red, white and blue colors). This kite is on the smaller size, so if you're looking for something really impressive to fly, this maybe isn't the right kite for you. But, ideally, I think smaller children and beginners would love this kite because it's easier to handle and more compact. It works great. It was a hit with my 4-year-old nephew.

They updated the kite design, but not the instructions. There are even stitch holes in the fabric for the old design. The current design is actually simpler, but I was thrown off by the instruction diagram. All that aside, I found that this kite does fly pretty well. However, it did seem to fly turned slightly to one side. And at one point it out of the blue, it did end up crashing while unattended. But that was after flying steadily the air for a good 15 minutes or so. Overall, cute kite that flew surprisingly well.
