Now that our kids are old enough, we can start using the nicer plates and bowls.This set is ceramic and handles high and low temperatures as well as you'd expect. To be honest, there isn't any new innovation as to the build quality or any feature. It's a simple set of ceramic flatware. The polish gives the plates a nice shine and sticking it in the microwave for 2 minutes then immediately dunking them in cold water didn't cause any cracks. However don't drop these. (I'm reminded of one of my favorite episodes of Breaking Bad at this point).Anyway, as for plates, you'll get what you expect. Just focus on which color you want because these will go great with a Japanese style setup.

Arrived in perfect condition and packaged well. The plates are nice but not the most durable. My daughter dropped one on the kitchen floor and it broke in half.

We’re actually very happy with these dishes. I almost wanna get another set just in case I break something… I am a little clumsy. The plate are a little small, but I actually don’t hate that because it forces us to put less food on the plate, you know? The bowls are deep, and I like that rather than a wide, sloped shape. What I think I like the most is the simple, stackable design. It took me off guard because there aren’t any rims, but I like it. There is noticeably more space in my cabinet with this set of dishes. They have all survived the microwave with no problem. They look and feel like stoneware. I’m really happy that there aren’t any mugs…I can’t be the only one that never uses the mugs. I really don’t have any complaints. These are pretty great.

This 12 piece set of dishes in the starry blue are really pretty. The color is gorgeous. I didn't have any square dishes so I thought these would work well. This set has 4 each of bigger dinner plates, smaller plates, and bowls. The dishes have held up nicely with daily use. The surface doesn't show any marks from cutting or scraping. I've both hand washed and run through the dishwasher. This is a high quality set of dishes for a reasonable price. I'd recommend these to anyone.
