I found this hygrometer simple and intuitive to use. The accompanying manual clearly written and illustrated. Comparing the readings at different times/locations with calibrated instruments, I found that this meter is well within the margin of error given in the manual. It is possible to disable the Auto-Off function when you want to record a minimum or maximum over a period of time. The only thing missing is a procedure for calibrating, or at least adjusting, instrument readings. I hope this doesn't drift significantly over time.

I ordered this digital thermometer with humidity reading to help with a classroom science experiment. The students are learning about comparing different measuring devices and accuracy. This thermometer is very easy to use. It also comes with batteries to install. The screen is easy to read. This should add to our experiment nicely.

This is a good unit for quick localized readings while you're out in the field. It feels like a fairly solid unit, and the red coloring make it easily visible. It does have a relatively fast sampling size so can quickly pick up changes in the environment.The only limitation on this unit are the buttons not being larger or spaced further apart, making it a bit difficult to operate one handed wearing safety gloves. It's also not environmentally sealed, so not suited for high humidity or wet environment utilization.

The only reason I took away 1 star because it doesn't maintain the last unit of measure setting and takes longer than expected to adjust to new area. Otherwise, I found it to be highly accurate once it reached the same temperature as the room, which with a 15 degree difference, took about an hour.The back light can be turned off when not needed. It comes in small drawstring bag. The instructions are in 8 languages. I would get this again.

A year or so ago, we had a hidden water leak in one of the walls of our basement. Unfortunately, some of my wife's irreplaceable keepsakes were destroyed, before we even realized there was a leak. Now, my wife is paranoid that it's going to happen again, so I ordered this handheld humidity meter to help monitor the levels along the basement's back wall. So far, so good! To ensure that the meter was working, I dampened some cardboard outside and verified that the meter indicated the wet spot. So far, I'm happy with this moisture meter and feel more confident that we will catch the next leak before too much damage is done.

Nice hand held Hygrometer.It takes a bit for the reading to adjust but waving it around a bit helps to speed it up. Very nice for checking the humidity in the room before 3d printing.

This is a tremendous value in a portable, battery-operated hygrometer that simultaneously measures temperature and humidity. It has a big, backlit display with large, easy to read numbers. I like that the backlit display has a dedicated button to toggle the backlight to stay on or off instead of an auto-off timer that is dependent on button presses. The buttons are spaced for easy use when wearing gloves. When on, the unit is constantly measuring, so you get real-time measurements such as when I walk from the air-conditioned salesfloor to the warehouse with no HVAC, there is an immediate jump in both the temperature and humidity readings. Of course you can hold the current reading as well as the minimum and maximum. Unfortunately, it is not rated to measure humidity over 80%, which is common in the tropics… and the display reverts to celsius each time the unit is turned on, regardless if it was on farenheit the last time it was used. The unit itself is very light with a grippy red surface on both sides to prevent it from slipping out of your hands. Overall amazing value.Edit: Wanted to add that even though in the description it reads a relative humidity range of up to 80%, that I was able to measure above that to 88% with no indication that it couldn’t measure higher, hopefully well into the 90’s.
