I bought this as part of an inverter install for our travel trailer. What I needed was a way to protect a 120- volt hot wire, which would normally run through a circuit breaker. The inverter install required some rewiring of the converter (so it doesn't attempt to charge the battery when running off the battery), and that rewiring bypassed the circuit breaker panel. It's amazingly difficult to find an in-line fuse which is rated for 120+ volts. I was happy to finally locate this item. The good news is that it appears to be sturdy and well made. I would have liked to have a few sentences of helpful instructions with this inline fuse holder. It's being sold by a company which has the word "crimp" in their name, so I am betting that it's designed to be crimped on. I'm not sure what gauge wire it is designed for, and I'm also not sure which of my crimping devices are most appropriate. That's why I would have liked to have some instructions; I don't want to run potentially terminal experiments with a rather expensive item. I didn't find anything helpful on their web site. Also, it would be handy to include a link to fuses which fit this holder.Overall, though, I'm happy that I found this item and it appears that it will suit my needs...as soon as I figure out how to properly install it.Update 4/6/2021 - I sent an e-mail to the company which sells this in-line fuse holder, asking for some guidance concerning wire size and optimal crimping tool. They got back to me quickly, but unfortunately they don’t seem to have a techie-type on hand to answer my questions. I was told that all their technical information was on their web site. There isn’t anything of value for addressing my questions on their web site. So I decided to bravely forge ahead and use my best guess about wire size and crimp tool, and was successful. I used 10 AWG copper wire, and a common, hand-held wire stripper / terminal crimp tool. I crimped at three different places per end, and everything seems to be holding fine.
