The leather was OK on this product. But I only received 1 slobber strap when I thought I purchased 2 as a set. They were also very long. To long for what I understand them to be and to long for the trails I go on.

I bought these in order to attach these super strange reins that I bought (but was determined to use). If you need black slobber straps but don’t have a large hole in your bit (like a loose ring), then these slobber straps will work. The quality of the leather is fine, nothing amazing, but they’ll do the job.

These look great, but the leather is very stiff and the leather is a smidge too wide for the buckles, making it nearly impossible to manage to get them through the buckle. I’m hoping through where and oiling they will supple and be easier to manipulate.

These are not approx 5 inches long, they are over 8 inches long. Other than being much longer and wider than the Amazon site states they are well made. Returned as they were too big.

These slobber straps are bigger and longer than described, but have good weight to them. The ties match the straps individually, but the two straps are very different colors. I would describe one as light and one as medium brown. I plan on stripping the finished and doing a custom color, so I think I can work with them, but I will have to change from a transparent color to an opaque one, which wasn't really in my plans. A bit disappointing overall, but they will function as needed, and I might just go overboard and make them metallic with some bling since I need to cover the significant color difference.
