Looked around locally and found there are kits that are cheeper but don't offer the range this kit does. Nice to have the legend for sizes on the lid of kit. Product quality seem to be very good.

As noted by others, the Allen wrenches are laid on top of the dividers and the lid closed over them, leaving a gap between the compartments. Expect to have to do some sorting to straighten out the mess. Some of the smaller items, e.g. nuts, washers, some of the shorter 2mm screws, were bagged within the compartments, so those stayed where they belonged. It would be better to bag the Allens and tape them to the outside of the box, but really no big deal.I didn't do a 100% count but everything I did count was correct. I found 1 malformed head - 1 out of 1200 isn't too bad.

I have a case full of metric bolts that I have never used because I did not have the corresponding nuts. So I tried this to make use of that hardware at some point when I may have the need, rather than just leaving the assortment of bolts used. I tried the M3, M4, M5, M6 and M8 sizes. All threaded on smoothly by hand down to the start of the nylock. I therefore chose not to try the M10 or M12 based upon the great results from the first five. Now have a complete set of metric bolts and nylock nuts to use at any time for just a few dollars to buy this nice and portable nut kit. Very pleased. I am a firm believer in nylock due to the holding quality. Have never seen a "retention" nut of any type (including nylock) ever work free from a bolt on its own. Am a former GM Engineer that helped build over 2 million automobiles at GM Assembly Division. Auto makers use retention nuts (mostly compression nuts versus nylock due to lower price of compression nuts) because they do not loosen with vibration or use.

The first assortment came in a damaged package, losing most of the nuts. However, thanks to Amazon, the replacement came pronto and undamaged. I haven't used them yet but it is a good variety of sizes and they appear to be well made. I'm sure they will come in handy when I need them.

These are awesome! If you screw a lot of things, you're gonna need nuts! These incredible shiny hexa-doughnut things fit perfectly around the shaft of threaded bolt or screw and the plastic locking addition means you'll never lose your nuts!
