These would be a lot better if they were rubber rather than hard plastic. They would fit in more places and wouldn't scratch whatever they are attached to. I'm not super happy with the purchase mainly for that reason. That said, I didn't return them (though I wanted to) and am using them.

Easy to carry, and useful. Although they can be broken with a metal scissors, the Z LOK is not intended to be a forever lock. I use the Z LOKs to lock helmet to my bike and to secure the front tire as a deterrent while on my car's rack. I also combine the Z LOKs with my u-lock when I am at the grocery store.I would recommend this locking system as an add on for its ease of use and versatility, but never as a stand-alone lock.

But a delay tactic … prevents someone from running off immediately with your stuff, so probably only want to use if you’re in the vicinity. Otherwise, easy to use and I keep a few on my bike all the time since they stay out of the way.

I use this when I need to lock up skateboards for short periods to deter casual thievery (like a quick trip into a shop). (Obviously these aren't something that's going to put off a determined thief). The thin strap is a good fit to go through the hole in skateboard trucks. It's quick and easy to use and lightweight to carry around.
