the crimper works well and make clean square crimps. I found it very useful in making but connections between wires of different size. I find the ferrule that fits the wire and then nest up to larger sized until the end result fits the butt crimp sleeve. The end result is a very strong crimp that will not pull free.

The crimp came out more like square stars. The corners of the sleeve slippes between the corners of the tool and look jagged. I only did 4, so possibly a learning curve, but probably not. They are secure and still function fine.

For the price it works great and makes wiring up terminal blocks much cleaner than just twisting the wire and sticking it in. Takes a few seconds longer and makes it much nicer. Well worth the money.

I should of bought this tool years ago, this tool along with the ferrules will make your install so much cleaner and nicer looking. Gone are the days of just shoving stranded wire into a speaker output. Crimp on a ferrule and EFFORTLESSLY plug in your subwoofer. This is a MUST HAVE tool for anyone doing any type of car audio / audio / electrical installation.....
