I have owned one of the standard BT versions of this device for years. Thought it would be nice to use the iPad instead so purchased this one. The license to access the software is $800. If your company is paying for it I guess it’s reasonable, but for an independent contractor it’s a bit steep.The product itself is as good as any other brand at much less cost, but for me I have to vote for the windows version.

Pro Com Sol has amazing customer support and helped me getting setup and moving quickly.They offer 10days complimentary free software and then you will need to purchase the $900 software license. All in significantly cheaper than a Emerson 475 with similar product compatibility. If you require “foundation fieldbus” communications they also offer another modem that will do both Hart and FF.I am changing this unit from iOS to PC version, but otherwise VERY happy with the cost and function as compared to more traditional hart communicators.I did not test range on the Bluetooth and had the Bluetooth modem very close to the iOs device. There is no polarity on the modem leads. Once installing the app and downloading the DD update your able to communicate with a wide range of Hart devices - check their website for more infoProcomsol.ComThank u PCS !!!
