I have used this chuck a lot and it works extremely well on my 8x16 mini lathe. It fits the tail stock quill for centering holes in pool cues.

(Shown in the picture with the chuck taken from my Wen 4208 drill press for size comparison)This is a nicely machined, medium to heavy duty, keyed drill press chuck with up to 5/8" capacity. I selected the JT33>The jaws are hardened steel and fit together perfectly. The chuck tightens and loosens smoothly, without a hint of crunchiness. It's easily tightened with the beefy key, and the bits are held tightly and do not spin under load.I didn't test the runout, but I don't really care as long as it doesn't wobble- I'm using the chuck in the tailstock of my wood lathe. The listing claims an accuracy of .005", which seems reasonable. This is NOT a precision chuck, and doesn't claim to be. It's a robust, well-built chuck to replace the stock one on a cheap drill press, or to use in the tailstock of a lathe, where it won't even be rotating. High precision requires more effort and observation during the manufacturing process, and a higher associated cost... This chuck is less than 30 bucks. It's probably one of the best values in drill chucks on Amazon if you don't require high precision. Machinists should probably look elsewhere, but most wood turners will be pleased.

Took it out of the box ,put the shank on the chuck and started using.It was that easy.Very accurate and heavy duty .I am very pleased.
