This does what it’s supposed to do. I have two complaints: 1. I wish there was a bigger opening for a thicker bagel. Some of the bagels I get I have to squish down in order for it to fit. 2. It’s difficult to move because there’s nothing to grab a hold of. When I try to pick this thing up, the plastic surrounding the blade just slides off. When slicing your bagel, go quick. If you try to slice slowly, it won’t work.

I don't recommend the other bagel slicers, I bought one of the cheaper ones and the blade was like a sawblade and did not slice the bagel nicely. This Hoan Original has a blade with serrated edge and cuts thebagels much better than the other slicer I tried. In my view, it's all about the blade as the other slicershave nearly identical construction to the Hoan. The Hoan is worth the extra couple of bucks for theblade alone.

We had one of these in the cafeteria at my college, and I loved it. However, I put off getting it for myself for over 10 years because it felt like it didn't *really* need it. I could just use a knife! Well, I just got this slicer and every time I use it I think about how happy I am that I got it. If you are on the fence about getting this, just go ahead and buy it. It is so convenient and effective.

This is one of those products that you didn't know you needed until you have it. I am gluten free and order two dozen bagels at a time. This has made my life SO much easier. I just love this bagel cutter and couldn't be happier.

Mom of seven - can't tell you how many times I have driven someone to get stitches after they had a bagel cutting accident. I just started making Sourdough Bagels at home and I don't know if I will ever buy a grocery store bagel again. That said I needed a safety device to prevent another accident. My ad showed the brand as Hoan but my packaging is Bagel Biter. I did not want an inferior product so I researched the barcode numbers on the bottom of the package. I was relieved to see that it is the same number just different branding. Very easy and safe to use. In reading other reviews I make a starting cut on a oven warm fresh bagel to assist this unit in not squashing the hot fragrant want to eat it now pieceof bread. Not a flawed product, just a best practice if they aren't room temperature. In fact they are 425 degrees out of the oven and I cool under a fan for a couple of minutes. Should have bought this 20 years ago. Far superior and easier to use the the wooden slotted units we gave away. Pays for itself!

いつも自分でベーグルを焼くので、切るのがとても面倒だったので少し高かったが、amazonでホワイトが破格値（他が馬鹿みたいに高い）の￥2000だったので、購入！我が家のベーグルにジャストサイズで、綺麗に簡単に安全にスライス出来ました。厚さが合わないと入らなかったり、片寄ったりしますが一般的なサイズのベーグルならば、問題なく使用出来ると思います。ベーグルサンドを作るのが楽しくなりました。
