It is ergonomics the handles are easy to use and I really like the feel of these versus the traditional crochet needles I got one set for myself and another for my 10 year old daughter and she loves them too I also very much enjoy the fact that it comes with multiple different sizes and it's own little set of very sharp scissors which is super useful

I don't know how many times, I've searched in my stash of hooks to find a specific size... this case carries most any I would want and it's neat and handy. The hooks all have a little bit of a point which makes it SO much easier to hit the mark without separating the yarn. Oh it still happens, but that's me rushing. Love this set. They're comfortable and easy to keep organized.
