This thing was the nightmare from H3ll. Sure, it may be a โsomewhat okโ piece of โfurnitureโ, if you donโt happen to ruin it while putting it together. The assembly of this thing was nothing youโd ever expect. Unless you work with putting furniture together on a daily basis & can quickly recognize that the pieces, hardware, and instructions just โainโt rightโ or the โmath ainโt mathinโโฆ be prepared for a real mind****.Of course this wasnโt my first rodeo putting together something as simple as pictured. But when the very first page of the โinstructionsโ tell you to โpay close attention, or youโre in for itโโฆ and then said instructions are completely wrong on numerous pages?!?! I mean, are you freaking kidding me?! This is by far, the dumbest thing and most bassackwards set of assembly instructions on the planet. Sure, I may be able to salvage this thing, since Iโm clearly determined to not have to go through the ridiculous return process of such a heavy product that Iโd have to disassemble in order to โmaybeโ get my money back or get a replacement. But the fact that I have to study these clown-azz instructions is absolutely insane! AND! Hereโs the kicker, the instructions are all pictures and no wording! How in the world an engineer or company, messes up assembly instructions when they donโt even use any WORDS, is absolutely beyond me. Wait, thereโs a few words off to the side, on some pages, which only further complicate, confuse, & contradict whatโs pictured. Lmao my bad! Smh ๐คฆโโ๏ธSave your time and money. Go get you something from the swap shop lmao or even big lots. This headache was most certainly not worth it!

This is a good quality file cabinet. It was fairly easy to assemble, but did take about two hours. The instruction booklet was detailed, and had pictures of each step, except how to get the slides apart. I had to look on YouTube, to figure out that there's a black lever, that blends in with the smallest piece of black slide. Once I found the levers, it was easy to pull the slides apart, and put them back together. The drawer slides in and out smoothly, and holds two rows of files. The poles that hold the hanging files folders can be installed in two different positions, depending on how wide the folders are. A nice addition to the drawer, is a wheel on the bottom, so when you slide it out, it doesn't fall down like other drawers I have. There are also wheels under each corner of the cabinet, to make it easy to move. This cabinet looks really nice, and holds more than I expected. However, it is made from particle board, so I'm not sure about the longevity.

Cute little piece, not too hard to build. I'd say this took me just over an hour to put together. It probably would have been quicker, but some of the pictures were a little confusing. I guess it's hard to represent this in a still image, but when you attach the drawer guides, you need to slide the smaller piece back and forth in order to access all the screw holes. Once I got that, it got easier. It can also be tough to know the exact direction of each piece, but that could be a "me" thing. The pieces are all well-marked which definitely makes the process smoother. I'm very excited to use this at work to organize my worksheets and neaten up my area.

I love the look of this file cabinet. The drawer has plenty of space for hanging files. When assembling the rods grab a file folder to double check which holes you want them in. The shelves can store paper, supplies or knick knacks. I have my printer on the top. With how the drawer is supported by another wheel at the bottom this cabinet works best on a hard surface floor. I was able to assemble this in about an hour and a half. The directions were simple, clear and easy to read.

I've done plenty of these "medium density fiberboard with laminate" units before. This one has some nice points and some flaws. Overall, for the price, a good value if you have spare time.Cons:1, The "medium density fiberboard" is not the best grade of wood. Looking at the edges, it is low quality wood chips glued together. The white laminate itself is fine but also not the highest grade (thickness). THAT SAID, it's OK for normal household / light office use and about right for the price.2. The manual doesn't cover everything. Being that I've done these a lot before it was no problem but if you're a beginner know this will take you a couple hours to assemble and I suggest you read the other reviews as some issues are detailed already. Now that the not so great stuff is covered, here's the good:Pros:1. This is sufficiently well made to work for home / light office use.2. It is well designed and stores a bunch of folders, both standard AND hanging style.3. There's a clever wheel under the drawer that takes the weight off the hinges. Nice!4. It looks pretty good for the value. Finally - some tips for those who aren't pro assemblers ;)1. When you tighten the "cams" (round locks) DON'T TURN THEM TOO HARD! Tighten just snug, and on panels that have multiple locks start one then cross diagonally and lightly tighten ,then go back and tighten up more. i.e.: go slow.2. Same for the "pins" - they're cutting their own threads and being too strong will weaken or even strip the threads. This is NORMAL for these!! If you mess up and do that, some 'hole width' paper strips , folded in half, soaked in "white glue" and inserted into the hole (Small screwdriver) to repair the SIDES of the hole will get you out of trouble. Let it dry overnight.3. Finally - at the end, be patient and give a good wiggle on the whole thing and check you have tightened ALL the parts one more time!Would I buy it again? Yep! Hope this helped!! :)

This cabinet is exactly what I needed to keep my room organized. The drawer is very easy to store my letter and a4 files and the open shelves is sturdy enough to hold my soda.
