Sturdy. Two of us put it together. Took around 1 1/2 hours. One panel had a crack in it and customer service for the hall tree company sent a replacement in less than a week. Looks great at door entrance.

This has been a wonderful and elegant addition to my closet. I have a walk-in closet with sufficient room to include this. It transformed my closet and allows me to dress head to toe in my closet. The hooks are handy for hanging casual wear, jackets/coats, hoodies, and the shelf at the top is great for my hats. The storage box is perfect for extra blankets or other bedding and even cozy clothing that only comes out in winter.It's also pretty easy to put together. I was able to do by myself in about an hour. A second person obviously always makes it easier, but one person is sufficient. The material is heavy and quality and will serve you for a long time. The scores that hold the hooks in place are a little tricky, so make sure those get lined up straight.

This quality piece of furniture did not disappoint. Sturdy in construction, easy to assemble, it is both elegant and perfectly suited to keep our entrance way uncluttered. Deep storage bench is a good size for umbrellas, boots or blankets. Upper shelf for decor or other mittens, hats etc. . We liked the slatted back as it gives it more of an airy look. Very happy with this purchase.

The new home we bought is small, but stylish and we needed something that fit our casual atmosphere goals. The wood is beautiful and the unit is very sturdy. We had fun putting it together. Easy instructions. Tip Assemble it close to where it will be placed as it is quite heavy.

We don't have a closet near our front entry, and hanging coats or dumping shoes off on the way in created ugly clutter right where you don't want it. Inevitably something would end up the floor, ready to trip us up. We bought this hall tree via Amazon and have been using it for about a year now, and it's cleaned everything up and provided an aesthetically pleasing focal point as well. The color is slightly lighter than pictured, but still within the realm of what I'd consider "cherry." It arrived in a large box, but wasn't tough to put together...instructions were clear and it took two of us about an hour to assemble. It's strong and sturdy overall, and we hang up to 8 coats on it without it looking overloaded. Shoes go underneath and boots go in the storage bench, with family pictures or seasonal ornaments on the top shelf. All very functional and pleasing to the eye! The only thing I'd change is to make the storage bench seat more substantial...although it has withheld my daughter and I sitting on it together, it feels like it could split at any second (although in fairness, we total probably close to 300 lbs and it never has). Overall, we're very pleased with this hall tree, especially for the price.

I found this hall tree months ago, read the reviews, and chose not to purchase it. Looked for a hall tree elsewhere. Couldn't find one like this one. Decided to order this hall tree despite the reviews. I must have gotten lucky, or the other people who left poor reviews simply got damaged items and I didn't. I love this thing. It took 2 hours to assemble. Probably would have taken less time if my toddler wasn't awake. Wood is sturdy. Everything fits together nicely, you just have to make sure that if there is a large section with 4 bolts to screw in, don't tighten all screws until you have all the bolts in place. THEN tighten them. The lid to the storage bench is great and heavy, but has the feature where it will not slam shut on my toddler's fingers. My kid has been climbing all over it and it has not tipped. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it came slightly scratched, but scratched in a place where you can not see it. Also, top of storage bench has a slight space in between where the door ends and the side attaches. Like, the measurement was slightly off. But it is unnoticeable unless you really look. Hooks will hold heavy things. I like the height because it's short enough to fit by my door, which has a door bell hanging above the hall tree. If it were any taller I could not have put if there. The hooks are tall enough to fit my husband's coats and laptop bag. I bought it so he would stop putting his stuff on my kitchen counter after work. He actually uses it. And the very top of the hall tree is big enough for him to place his little things on top of. Like his keys and wallet. He's not a tall man, and he can easily reach the top of this hall tree to place his stuff up there. Other reviews stated their hall tree was flimsy and the wood was cheap. I simply do not agree. I've spent more money on press board that fell apart. This item is heavy and sturdy. The packaging foam left a lot if mess to clean up afterwards, and the hall tree was dusty. But I cleaned the entire thing in a minute with a damp cloth. Other reviews stated the hall tree was difficult or impossible to put together. It isn't. Just make sure you follow the instructions and don't over tighten before all the screws are in place on every section.

I shopped around a lot before buying this piece. Although I was wary of buying a piece of furniture sight unseen, I have been very happy with this product, especially considering the low price. It's all wood with very useful space, and looks great too. The chest isn't huge but holds more than it looks like it should. I also appreciate the shelf at the top for holding baskets of gloves and other paraphernalia. It was easy to put together, assuming you have experience with assembling your own furniture. A 2nd set of hands is helpful but not absolutely necessary. I've had it for about 7 months now and so far so good. I'd definitely recommend this piece.7/3/17 Edit: I've had this product for ~4 years now and it has held up extremely well. I've been very happy with this purchase. It's pretty loaded with stuff but I've have never had any issues.Great piece of furniture for the price. No regrets!
