The material is a little rough but it looks perfect for what I wanted it for. Comes with 3 pins; two normal and a feather looking one. Dunno if I'll use those but it was nice. Comes with zero instructions on how to fold, drape, etc. so you'll have to figure out the final look you are looking for.

The HOMELEX Medieval Black Padme Cape Shawl Post Apocalyptic Cloak is something I'm a fan of.It was shipped with minimal packaging and had no weird odors or chemical-type smells. There was a normal shipping odor, which is common, but airing the hood out for a few days remedied that.The quality of the hood is very good. The material looks and feels great, and it can be used for several different costumes and cosplay.I like the brooch, as it can be used to create all sorts of different looks. It attaches easily and doesn't take away from the overall look.It doesn't fray or shed, and there are no loose strings or off-seams.It is easy to care for. I wash it by hand and let it hang to dry, and I have noticed no dye loss, shrinkage, or other signs of wear.Overall, I highly recommend it.

Lots of draping. The material is soft and a beautiful shade of green. It feels like excellent quality. Soft, but not too soft. Could be worn in a lot of ways. Great for a variety of costuming.

This hood/shawl looks great for post apocalyptic/desert warrior/medieval cosplay and costumes. The fabric is soft and color is sharp. It fits pretty good with enough room to be comfortable. I would recommend.

So this product really comes down to really ingenious marketing. It's a length of linenesque cloth with three pins. A straight length of cloth. The 'hooded' aspect is purely created by how you drape and wrap the fabric, as are the 'cape' and 'shawl' concepts for this product. You can use this length of fabric however you want to -- including as a hooded shawl.Now, the fabric itself is really nice -- perfect for the designated uses on the product page. It's soft and linen-esque (I'm not sure it's really linen), and easy to manipulate. It's of a good length, and the frayed edges add that nice feeling/look to it. The pins are large and easy to use, and while two are plain, one is more elegant and decorated. All work well. The fabric itself is nicely colored (I picked black) and I didn't notice any smell upon opening the package.This is a good pick for a cosplay or wear-around hooded scarf, comfortable and easy to use. Or it's a good choice if you're looking for a flexible, versatile length of cloth!

It's listed as having a broach included to fasten the cloak but all I received was fabric. The packaging looks like it may have been a returned item as well and I didn't select buying a pre-owned item. Overall for the price it's an alright lightweight fabric.

This Wrap is good for your everyday as well as fits themes you may be going for. I would recommend getting stronger clips to hold the wrap together as the ones it comes with are a little easier to bend.
