These loops are super useful for transporting kayaks on a roof rack to have good points to secure to a bow line. The only thing I can really complain about is there is no instructions for installing them and no hardware either. It's not clear if you are supposed to be installing them to existing bolts or be using a self tapping screw to secure them.

These are always hard to find and when you find them elsewhere online, you get charged for shipping as well.They are the best “no damage” solution i’ve found to secure the front of a canoe on pretty much any vehicle.Bonus, these have a reinforced area where your tie down rope pulls on. I’ve not seen this on similar cheaper straps that cost the same.These are long enough to bolt under the front hood and still leave enough play to tie off to outside.The bolt ring looks well made. There isn’t much force exerted on these so it’s not a real concern. These are support tie offs/stability bracing not meant to secure your canoe to the roof but stabilize it from wind and from sliding forward.I’ve installed these on multiple vehicles using the existing bolts under the hood with no issues for years.Excellent version of these straps. Highly recommended.

At current price of $10 for a pack of two these are quality tie down straps at a good price point. Would purchase again and recommend.

Fit perfectly on the fender bolts under the hood of my Prius V! Now I have a secure tie down spot on both sides of the car.
