These are thick and high quality velcro. When I wasn't able to hang things in my apartment, I used velcro. They stick well and they do not leave residue like the plastic hooks. Plus I can continue to change whatever I am hanging easily. Whether it's seasonal decor or swapping out a painting, it's as easy as a velcro pull. Before seing this ad, I would have never thought to keep the mattress topper in place, but it is one of my biggest annoyances when sleeping, so I tried it and it works perfectly and I won't go back!

I am using these outdoors to hold solar garden lights on a rock wall. I can't glue the lights in place because periodically the battery needs to be changed, and no matter how I seal them, water can leak inside the lights during winter freeze-snow-thaw cycles, and thunderstorm downpours. So far these are holding up well and the adhesive was strong enough for winter. Blistering summer temps are coming though and that will be the final test.
