Moderate Installation Requires Some Drilling
Step 1. Open the tailgate to prepare for installation.
Step 2. Use the original vehicle holes marked in the manual. Remove the middle plastic plate, punch upper two installation holes, and use positioning paper for lower two holes.
Step 3. Lift the storage box, align it with installation holes on the box and factory vehicle. Use provided M6*50 screws for installation. Add nylon round spacer for outer two holes.
Step 4. If using a net, insert hooks into internal circular holes.

Very easy install, I did not use the drill bit they sent with the hardware, it' too big in diameter. I also did not use the paper template, I simply mounted the box with the 2 top screws, properly aligned it and drill through the existing box hole right into the tailgate, it was spot on. You might use a second set of hands to help align the box.

Too expensive for the material which is thin metal. Not worth buying. Find a more reasonable price for a better material.

This thing is a good size, and very sturdy but on the same note not so heavy it's like OMG. I love it. As far a mounting it. They send you a paper template where the hole should be. For the most part it's dead on. Here is the problem I found. This will help you not have to make the hole bigger then what there suppose to be because it's not lining up. The template is folded so when you lay it across your back panel you can not get it perfectly flat which will throw the hols off. What I did was simply take the back panel off. The top holes are easy to figure out. You will see along the top the 3 look like round cups that fit over the mounts on the tailgate. Drill a hole through the far left and far right. I took the plastic cover and mounted the top to. Then from the inside of the cabinet I marked the bottom 2 holes. I took the top 2 off now I Drill the 2 bottom holes and re-install the plastic cover back on the tail gate. Hole line up prefect. Then in stall.

May be the top purchase I have made for my JL jeep, I don't usually go over the top on reviews but I absolutely love this box,sturdy, convenient and store stuff for miles in it locked up tight,not hard to install, excellent price,clears flooring and everything else, this box was thought about and engineered correctly, I love this item

Just bolt it in after you remove factory plastics. Bottom bolts use the spacers. Its a good box. Yw.
