Easy Installation
Since this Hooke Road Bed Security Lockbox is designed as a direct replacement product it can use your Tacoma’s existing mounting holes for installation. No additional drilling or cutting is needed. Remove the factory plastic lid. Then put the new lockbox in place and fix it with basic hand tools using supplied screws. It takes about 30 minutes to get it done.

It fits my 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road, but as others have mentioned you need to put some washers on the bolts in between the truck bed and the lock box. I used two washers on each bolt. Another issue, my box didn't come with any hardware. It was just the box (no key, bolts, or washers). I contacted Hooke and then sent out some hardware. Took over a week to get it, but I got it and their CS was generally responsive. Overall happy, but I'm not stoked about the gap in between the lock box and the truck bed due to needing to user washers on the install.

It fits want lock i had to grind down the latch on 2007 tacoma trd or but I had to order this 3 times to get ended up using another company that sells there stuff got it first order upbox or something Ike that

I had to trim the locking mechanism arm which rotates up, see 2nd photo, but otherwise fits perfect. You can also add washers or cut a new hole for the locking mechanism to rotate up into. For me grinding the arm seemed easiest. Great product for the money.

As others stated, the latch will not lock unless you trim your truck plastic back or add washers. I kind of figured this going in from what others have stated. For the money, it’s well worth it. I added two black washers and siliconed the perimeter for a perfect fit. Looks awesome and a great addition. Still one star off for it needing to be modified. My truck is a 2021 trd pro for reference.

Once installed the locking tab has no where to go so it can't be closed and locked...I had to place two washers behind it for clearance so the locking tab would go all the way up and lock.
