This fresh water tank is a different design than the one that came with my old machine so I was skeptical about it working. I had to put the handle from my old tank on it, because it does not come with one, and it fit in my machine perfectly. It works so much better with this tank than the old leaky one.

Brought new life to our Hoover Dual V SteamVac. Used over 10 times since purchase, pleased with it. No leaks. Pouring excess carpet cleaner out of the new tank is more difficult than the original tank, because of the toothed cap opening. Overall, the new one-piece design works well, and the drain outlets and tank construction appear to be stronger than the original.

It came a day short due to the local postal carrier not delivering it to my door as they should.Started using it almost immediately and cleaned 3 rooms with it without any leakage other than thecap on the solution tank could be just a little tighter, a slightly thicker gasket would cure that, but the leakageWas minimal and not a real problem.So other than that it met my hopes for a cure to my leaking old tank which had the separate "taped" onsolution tank that came loose and broke the little bracket at the bottom that keeps it aligned with the valve.So all I can do is cheer the tank, but complain about our postal service.I do wish the stores would stop using the relay system that has come into service??? lately where the shipper sends it out via FedX or UPS and the post office delivers it, MAYBE.So there you have it, it is a good item and works very well on my older machine. I'd recommend it to a friend.Five stars for the product 4 stars for the delivery.Gabby

I've used it 4 times since I purchased it and have had a problem with the valve leaking. Leaking may be too light a word...running out might be better. The valve gets stuck open while attached to the machine and water runs out everywhere. The only way to close the valve is to empty the tank and stick something inside to force the valve closed. I would advise you to look elsewhere.

I ordered this replacement tank, concerned that it wouldn't work in my shampooer. I received it in just a few days and not only does it work with my shampooer, it is so much better than the original design. I considered buying just the gaskets but was concerned that I would be unable to replace them properly. I am thrilled with this tank. It's easier to put in place and I love not having a puddle evertime I try to use my shampooer.

This is my third Hoover steam cleaner. The last two had the defective tank. I kept buying a product with a major defect in the soulution tank because the machine does such an incredible job. I foolishly kept hoping that Hoover would correct the problem. Hah. With replacements in the $40 range, it is maddening to say the least!The latest cracked tank sent me searching on AMAZON for a replacement . I was elated to discover someone had FINALLY solved the problem and manufactured a sturdy tank. Thank you, whoever you are!I have cleaned several carpeted rooms this week, and refilled the tank numerous times. It is made SO MUCH BETTER than the original one. I think I am in love.Edited to add: It is now 3 1/2 years later, and the tank is still perfect!

It simply works, and much better than the original tank. I am glad to get this upgrade to my steam vac. Mine is a model with manual rinse and wash switch, and it doesn't say "dual V" it simply says "V2" on the tank. That was a little confusing and I wasn't sure it would fit from what it said in the description on the internet, however I was reasonably sure and it paid off; it fits my vac perfectly.It fits very well and is one piece instead of separate pieces that wobble around, like the original tank. The caps and the plastic and whole design are all more durable than the original.Bottom Line - It works as stated, does a good job.
