After some digging, I found that many dromida parts also fit the ions. This is one of them. I got this and the 13t. Wish they made a 14t, but I won't complain. Handles 3s and a brushless 4500k motor without a hitch. Great upgrade!

I had gone through at least 3 of the Dromida brass pinions (with proper mesh) before finally finding this pinion. They were getting destroyed pretty easily by sand stuck in the spur gear and chewing up the pinion teeth.I am running this with the factory plastic and since changing I have not had a spur or pinion issue (almost 6 months of LiPo & NiMh bashing and several track days). On a side note, I also heard from LHS guy that they are a softer brass and once the motor gets real hot it softens them even more and destroys them...I just nodded my head. If the brass pinion was hot enough for the microstructure to change and become soft, then it would have surely been hot enough to melt the teeth off the spur gear. (Melting teeth off spurs was actually a common issue I had years back w/ a non-vented clutch bell on a Nitro Savage).
