The "Houseables Lockout Tagout Kit, Lockout Kit, 72 PC Set," is a comprehensive set for your LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) needs.Lock Out, Tag Out products are designed to safely lock out critical equipment while it is being repaired. For example, a piece of electrical gear is being repaired, the circuit is switched off, and one needs to assure that the circuit isn't accidentally engaged. LOTO locks are designed to be hard to pick, but easy to destroy if needed. They should only have one key so that they can't be accidentally unlocked; only the person working on the gear should be able to unlock a LOTO lock. This kit fails in this regard as two keys are provided. One could of course throw out one of the keys, or make sure the 2nd set isn't available except by heroic means. If a LOTO lock must be removed (say an employee left for the day, or no longer works for the company) then the lock is destroyed (it has a plastic body) rather than unlocked. This is by design. These LOTO locks have keys for a 6 pin lock (standard locks have 4 or 5 pins, 6 pins is harder to pick). I haven't destroyed a lock yet to look at the core, or tried to pick a lock yet. In comparison, a Master LOTO lock has a 6 pin core with 6 security pins (5 serrated and one spool if I remember correctly) and are some of the most secure cores that Master Lock makes. These are installed in a lock that is easy to destroy, by design. Many lock sporters use the Master LOTO locks for practice; they are beyond my current ability to pick. So I am curious to see how these locks stack up. The 6 pin cores are an encouraging start...Beside 4 locks you get:3 clamp-on 120/277V circuit breaker lockout (goes over a single pole circuit handle and is then locked with the LOTO lock)2 clamp-on multi-pone circuit breaker lockout (goes over a multi pole circuit handle and is then locked with the LOTO lock)3 kinds of lockout hasps (allows for multiple people to lock out a circuit, can't be switched on until all locks are removed)There are two sizes of Metal hasps with plastic covers and holes for 6 locks, and a plastic hasp with 6 holes that I would not use (it's plastic and can be easily snapped or cut with diagonal cutters).30 lockout tags and 30 zip ties so that you could label who and why the circuit is locked out.1 plug lockout that could go over the end of an extension cord to other keep a single cord single, or plugged together cords plugged together.1 nice soft carry case to hold everything.1 card with customer services Phone, email, website, and QR Code info. Kudos to Houseables for providing this info. I don't see any warranty info, but there is at least this contact info.Note that these tags, locks, and hasps could be used for gas and water valves. They wouldn't necessarily be locked, but they would be tagged. The pictures of the product on the product page are good so I won't reproduce them here. Conclusion: Pretty darn good value with a couple of minor issues. I haven't actually attempted to lock the circuit breaker lockouts on electrical breakers yet, nor have I attempted to pick or disassemble a lock yet so that remains to be seen.Would five 4.5 stars if possible, but 4 stars for now for no warranty info, the plastic clasp, and sending two keys for each lock instead of one. I may update this to 5 stars after testing the breaker clamping, and learning more about the locks. I do think that this kit represents good value. My Review Philosophy and Pledge:This is a Vine review of a free product. I pledge to give a fair and accurate review, both negative and positive. I only review products for which I think they are exceptional, or desirable to me in some way. I deduct a star if there is no contact info for the manufacture, or if needed instructions are missing. I pledge to update reviews as I get to use the product for a while, possibly showing long term trends, durability, or reliability issues, or just to say that the product holds up well and is of good value.

My family lives in a rural area, where it isn't uncommon for Coyotes, Mountain lions and Raccoons to roam around. Thankfully, we have only had an issue with this Raccoon family who loves to get into our shed out in the back. I decided to look for a lockout kit that would aid in resolving this Raccoon problem. What appealed to me was the fact this kit is not just made for only one reason. It is very versatile - you can use this to secure your breaker and even secure your bike. It comes with four padlocks that are heavy duty and durable. I'm glad that I decided to go with this kit. It offers a plethora of options to keep your home, auto, boat, plane secured. Below, I will outline some of the other features that led me to choose this one over others on the market.*Design: (72) piece set- OSHA compliant- Bright and noticeable- Carrying case included*Items included- (30) black zip ties-20 lock out tags-4 heavy duty padlocks-3 lockout hasp set-3 Clamp-on 120/277V circuit breaker lockout-2 universal poles-1 carrying case and 1 plug lock out*Dimensions for your reference: 10.35 x 6.81 x 3.74 inches*Weight: 7.41 lbsAll in all, I can attest to the resolution this has brought to our home situation. Since using this incredibly durable and heavy duty padlock, the "Raccoon" family has not been able to gain access. YES! Therefore, based on an excellent experience using this lockout kit- I'm recommending this to other consumers. This can also be used in a commercial building/workplace. You can't go wrong with this set. Thanks for reading my review. I hope it was informative and helpful. :)

The kit primarily consists of tags and zip ties, which contribute to 50 pieces. This is disappointing. The main thing I noticed when it came in is that it does not allow you to lock out that much on your own. There is no light switch lockout, but there are breaker lockouts. They work, but they are not intuitive. If you have someone coming with experience, you can certainly attach your clasp to their lockout.I recommend this kit for those who occasionally do some work or those who want to add to their existing kit.. its practical that it comes in a case.
