This card was a replacement for the 620 card that I already had but was starting to act a bit flaky. The first card I got from ZipTech Office was defective but they replaced it promptly and the replacement card worked perfectly, plugged it in and started the printer, all working perfectly. I also checked and it had the latest firmware already installed so no updating was necessary. This card not only is faster than my old 620 (gigabit as opposed to fast ethernet - 1000Mbps/100Mbps), which I realize for a printer doesn't really matter, but it adds IPv6 compatibility for future-proofing the system. Generally speaking none of that matters really. But being a gadget geek I like the options. And now I have a backup just in case this card goes dead (my old 620).
