I used this to take soil samples of different locations in my garden. Last year I had some areas of my garden that were very fertile and other areas where I couldn't even get weeds to grow. Although I do not believe the soil tester is broken, I get consistent readings no matter where I take a sample. Perhaps the most annoying feature of this soil tester is that it did not come with any instructions but rather gave you a QR code that took you to Amazon to read some very small print vague instructions. I might return the item.

Chinese garbage as usual…not as if we have a choice these days.Seemed to give an accurate measurement of soil conditions, as far as I know anyway, but unit fell apart the first time pulling it out of the soil, and it wasn’t even stuck!Housing pulled completely off the probe and then wouldn’t work after I tried putting it back together.I guess the kids weren’t told to put even the smallest amount of glue in to hold the probe…
