Basin doesn’t work properly. Got stuck together while on the wheel, got it off and joined together off wheel and cannot separate. No customer support and a replacement basin is too expensive.

I ordered this to start learning how to use a pottery wheel. I am taking classes at a local studio and need a LOT of practice. The wheel was easy to assemble, I did notice a few rough edges on the screws and the painted surface but I can smooth those over. This wheel stays firmly on the floor. I tried using it on a table but I need a height-adjustable study table. The foot pedal is on the stiffer side but once you set your speed you can keep your foot off the pedal. The motor is just as powerful as the wheel I used at the teaching studio. You don't need to worry about getting the LCD touchscreen wet as it is waterproof. Good for me because I am a sloppy mess during this learning phase. The tools that are included are standard tools you could buy at your local craft store. I used them and they worked fine but I also have some that I had to buy from the pottery studio I am attending and the tools I bought there are a little higher grade. The included pottery bats are nice and I like these better than the ones at the studio. So far I am glad I chose to order this pottery wheel for myself as a very very beginner.

This pottery wheel is perfect for my daughter. She really enjoys going to a local pottery shop where she can make her own pottery. I am surprising her with this pottery wheel for her birthday. It looks really nice. The legs are adjustable so she can get the height that she needs. The turntable is 12". I can't wait to see it all set up and being used.

I was amazed by this wheel. I was a ceramics major, focusing on throwing. I wanted a brent wheel but the price was just too much. Even used ones were over a thousand. This wheel is just as good. The table it has built in is a bit short. The whole thing is well balanced and doesn't wobble. I really like how stiff the pedal is, you can set a speed and take your foot off and it keeps it constant. It changes direction, and there's an option to control it by setting a speed on the touchpad or the pedal. The bats it comes with are a little iffy, they don't fit totally snug in the main piece, so they start to wobble a little. It makes it difficult to pull the walls of a piece with control. I'm going to stick with the solid bat it came with because of that. It only came with one set of tools, not great quality but at least it came with tools. The feet have a good amount of adjustment, they don't go too high. When you throw you should be resting your elbows on your knees and keeping your frame stiff. Your body should be almost a complete 90 degree angle, use a short stool to make the position comfortable. It seems a little backwards initially, trust me it works.

There isn't really anything special about this wheel that anything cheaper won't give me as well.. at least that I have noticed. It's a real nice pottery wheel to play with and learn but it is small and you'll only be able to throw small projects nothing big and you'll need to provide your own stool as this sits low to the ground. I know it had the size listed I just hoped it was bigger than that for what they're asking. If you want a wheel and can splurge this much go for a bigger wheel and pass this up
