Worked well on my Canada fishing trip, just moisten the suction cup and apply to the boat.

Works great! had my Lund up to 35 mph with no transducer movement. I highly recommend this item!

I got this to make my locator ice fishing box usable for a Canadian fishing trip. While it did work similar to the ones our guide provided, the suction cup failed several times while running the outboard. I would have to stop, reel in the transducer, roll up my sleeves, and reattach the suction bracket to the boat. The bracket may be a bit too heavy combined with the transducer I need to be efficient.

I'm using it as a portable unit for a fly in fishing trip in Canada. I got everything assembled and tried it out and it works great.

A suction cup mount clearly isn’t going to be as strong as a permanent mount! Duh!I went on a week long remote fishing trip in northern Ontario, we used the outfitter’s 3 aluminum boats. I was back and forth between all three boats and had to take my transducer with me between each of them. I think it mentions in the instructions that this mount is for stationary/slower speeds only. It held on really well even when the boat was on a plane at high speeds. I would recommend that before each outing that you take the transducer off and stick it back on the transom of the boat - just in case it’s lost some of its suction. As well, I took 3 zipties and made a safety tether so that if the suction cup failed the transducer wouldn’t get chewed up by the prop. Failsafe! A week or two after that trip I took the same transducer to a lakeside Airbnb that had an older cedar strip boat. The suction cup had no issue staying attached to the transom, but of course to be safe I used a ziptie safety again. Don’t hesitate buying this, unless you’re planning at travelling at high speed over long periods of time. I was actually pretty impressed with how well it stayed on

Hummingbird does not sell a replacement suction cup - you have to buy the entire mounting kit just to get a new cup. This is not only unnecessarily expensive - it is also wasteful. You can purchase a suction cup that will fit the Hummingbird mounting kit at iMarineUSA.com. It is a perfect fit and it works just as good (if not better) than the Hummingbird cup. This is the cup on iMarineUSA: Airmar 33-139 Replacement Suction Cup for P72 Portable 33-139 1 $8.95

I'm giving it a three star because it works well with the transducer however the suction doesn't hold great. Had on an aluminum boat and cleaned the surface prior to suctioning on. Worked for about a half day and it came off the the prop cut the transducer and the suction cup off, needless to say I'm out about $100. Check to make sure it on since they come off easy

Exactly what I was looking for. This thing is awesome and is actually a bit difficult to get off. I put it on while out of the water (or above the water line and then slide it down) for maximum suction and it holds great. Have had it on the transom of large bow riders, fishing boats and even rounded pontoons. One minute on and off and holds at speeds over 50km/h. The little clip for the transducer is a great touch and I have full confidence in the suction cup.Edit: Two years with this mount on probably 15 different boats! I am still very happy with it and will purchase again. The rubber is in great shape still. Only signs of wear I am noticing is where I have attached the safety clip to the cable. I would recommend clipping it back onto the rubber loop and not the transducer cable to avoid. 100% my fault, and the damage is cosmetic.

Great way to hold your transducer without drilling into your boat. I wanted a cheaper setup and I didn’t want to risk the leaks. It was worth a try. Turned out great. I have a light 14’ Jon boat and it zips on the water pretty good. This thing holds on really well. Lasted me spring/summer fishing season. I always take it off when I’m done and store it so the rubber doesn’t dry out and crack. Gives me good readings too.

I made a portable fish finder and wanted to have an easy mount for the transducer. Then I came upon this product and found that this would be a much cheaper option, not to mention it would fit in my small storage box that has the entire units, cables, etc. This works great for my kayak, and I use it when I visit family and we rent boats. The suction cup is well designed and stays on very well, I never worry about it falling. In fact, sometimes I struggle to remove it. Great product.
