It does not have slip ends, one end is threaded and one end is barbed. I will try to adapt or send back

I bought this one to replace the top of my valve that sprung a leak. It worked great. the installation was great. There were even a number of youtube videos to help this DIYer get it done quick and correct.

The whole valve with all the spare parts for less than a diaphragm and solenoid? Done.The sprinkler system that came with my house has these Hunter valves and one of the zones had been constantly leaking for who knows how long. I found that a little shaving of plastic from the pipes that were installed 10+ years ago had damaged the diaphragm's seal and it was letting a tiny trickle by that added up to a lot of water. I can't even fathom how much water has been wasted. Just yanked the old one out, slapped the one out of the new one in, and no more leaky sprinkler head! Now I'm prepared for a bad solenoid and have fresh screws in there, too (Use a socket, not a screwdriver, when removing these screws for best results), as I don't think much else could go on these.
