I haven't gotten up at 5 am in the rain to check that it shuts off the sprinklers. After installation upon testing i discovered my system bypasses this sensor during manual operation of the system, so I have to assume during scheduled operation it will prevent sprinklers from operating.

Works great. It included 25' of wire. Easy, 10 minute install. I should have installed one of these years ago.

The instructions are online to install. I had a wireless sensor which I priced and determined to save by installing a wired model. It was pretty straightforward and now no more expensive battery models needed...
